¡¡¡¡Zhang'an is in the west of Jiaojiang with a regional area of 62.9 squarekilometers and a population of 78,000. The history in Zhang'an is glorious.From DongHan Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty it has been the political andeconomic civilization center of the Taizhou. After more than 2,000 yearsof great changes, it left quite magnificent scenic spots and historic resortposterity, the humanities landscape and nice culture resources.
¡¡¡¡Changle Temple was built at time of Song Dynasty (1056). The scale ofthis temple was magnificent at that time. It was reconstructed in 1980s.
¡¡¡¡Weituo Temple is famous for it is consecrated to the protection god. Thetemple is covered by pines and bamboos and is composed of SanmenDaxiong Palace, Back Palace and bridges.
¡¡¡¡Zhang'an is in the water region of South China, it includes many ancientbridges. Zhang'an Bridge was constructed in the Han dynasty, Jiuzi Bridgewas constructed at the end of the Ming dynasty, Caiqiao Bridge was rebuiltin 59th Qianlong dynasty (in 1794) etc. The Zhang'an ¡°old streets¡± arestaggered and extend east to west with fine walls and tiles. We still can findsome old shop signboards around the ancient street. An over one hundred-year old store (Fangwansheng), the hometown of great Chinese kungfumaster Cai Diankui, keeps the ancient culture, and adds to the historicaland the humanities landscape.
